A Helping Hand for the Visually Impaired: “Read for Blind” Campaign Gains Attention.

To promote book reading in support of visually impaired individuals, “Read for Blind” campaign was organized at Anvarul Islam Women’s Arabic College, Mongam, on Monday, 25th August 2025.The college Principal, Dr. Jubailea P, inaugurated the programme. Dr. Shareef Koppilan, Muhammed Hadi, and Dr. M. M. Shahul Hameed offered felicitations. Sessions were led by Shuhaib Parampilpeedika, Organizing Secretary of REWAD, and Shihabudheen K. T, State Executive Member of REWAD and in charge of the Talking Book Library. The event was jointly organized by the Readers’ Forum of Anvarul Islam Women’s Arabic College and the REWAD Foundation. More than thirty students actively participated in the campaign. College Librarian Sareena. K. T presided over the function. Azeez Chelari, State Executive Member of REWAD and College Office Attendant, delivered the welcome address, while Aslaha V. P proposed the vote of thanks.The main objective of the campaign was to support the learning of visually impaired students by reading books for them. It was an inspiring initiative that encouraged students to engage in socially meaningful and compassionate activities. REWAD representatives Tanseer K. A and Nabeel C. K were also present at the event.
